Every year, over one hundred Trainees graduate from NEWLO with the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) Certificates and the regular NEWLO Certificates to find employment in their areas of skills training which include Cosmetology, Health & Geriatric Care, Plumbing, General Construction, Air-condition & Refrigeration, Fashion Design, Hospitality Services (Commercial Food, Restaurant & Bar Service, Bartending & Housekeeping), Electrical Installation, Computer Engineering & Carpentry.
Admission requirements are as follow:
  • Must be from the ages 17 – 24 (male or female)
  • Recommendation letter from the last school attended
  • Birth Certificate and a photocopy
  • Must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian/Sponsor for registration
For Admission to the Computer Engineering Department
  • Must have sat or have passes at the CXC Level in Mathematics, English or Information Technology
  • Must pass 80% of the local exams prepared by NEWLO IT Coordinator before entry into the Computer Engineering Department

NEWLO undertakes Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) Certification at both Level 1 & Level 2.  The School Fees & CVQ Fees vary based on the different levels being undertaken.

Registration takes place every school term (every three months) at both Palmiste in St. John and Mt. St. Ervans in St. Andrew
